Terms of Service

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY. THESE TERMS CONTAIN A BINDING ARBITRATION CLAUSE AND A CLASS ACTION WAIVER THAT AFFECT YOUR RIGHTS.

1) Overview & Acceptance

Stellar Wallet (“Stellar Wallet,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates certain content, functionality, applications, and services (collectively, the “Services”), including the website https://stellarwallet.org and any applications or pages that link to these Terms.

By accessing or using the Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree, do not use the Services. We may update the Terms at any time; updates are effective upon posting. Your continued use means you accept the revised Terms.

2) Eligibility

are 13+ years old (or older if required by your jurisdiction);
are not prohibited from using the Services under applicable law;
are not located in or resident of any jurisdiction under comprehensive sanctions or embargoes (e.g., Crimea, Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Syria) and are not on any restricted party list (including OFAC SDN or U.S. Commerce Denied Persons);
use the Services for yourself or for an authorized legal entity; and
will comply with these Terms and all applicable laws and regulations.

3) Privacy

Your use of the Services is subject to our Privacy Policy. By using the Services, you consent to our data practices as described there.

4) Nature of the Services — Non-Custodial Wallet; No Control of Networks

Stellar Wallet is a non-custodial interface. We do not hold, store, or have access to your seed phrase, private keys, or funds. Public blockchains (including the Stellar network) are decentralized and transparent. We do not control the Stellar network or other networks, and we cannot reverse transactions or control on-chain data. All on-chain activity is public and permanent.

5) Access; Availability; Changes

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Services (in whole or part) at any time without notice. The Services may be unavailable due to maintenance, outages, or events beyond our control. We will not be liable for any unavailability or modification.

6) Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

use the Services to defraud, harass, threaten, or violate others’ rights;
violate any law or regulation (including sanctions, export controls, AML/CFT, or consumer protection laws);
provide false or misleading information;
upload or link to malware or malicious code;
scrape or harvest data without permission;
disrupt or gain unauthorized access to the Services or related systems;
impersonate Stellar Wallet or others; or
engage in activity that harms the Services, users, or our business.

7) Use of the Stellar Network & Digital Assets

We do not operate or control the Stellar network, validators, or third-party dApps, and we cannot ensure uptime, security, or functionality of any network.
Lumens (XLM) and other digital assets are not legal tender, are highly volatile, and may lose all value.
You are solely responsible for secure storage of your private keys and backup of your seed phrase.
You will not use the Services or networks to fund terrorism, launder money, evade sanctions, or otherwise violate laws.

8) Third-Party Services & Links

The Services may reference or integrate third-party sites, dApps, RPC providers, or on/off-ramp services. We do not control or endorse them and are not responsible for their content, security, or policies. Your use of third-party resources is at your own risk and subject to their terms.

9) Educational Content; No Advice

Any information provided through the Services (including FAQs, docs, or UI hints) is for general informational purposes only and is not investment, financial, legal, or tax advice.

10) Additional Terms

Certain features may have additional terms or policies. If a conflict arises, those specific terms will control.

11) Intellectual Property

The Services and content are protected by intellectual-property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the Services for non-commercial purposes. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer the Services without authorization.

12) Trademarks

“Stellar Wallet,” our logos, and related marks are trademarks of Stellar Wallet. Third-party marks are property of their owners. No rights are granted to use any marks without permission.

13) Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THAT THE SERVICES WILL BE ERROR-FREE OR UNINTERRUPTED, OR THAT THEY MEET YOUR REQUIREMENTS.

14) Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, STELLAR WALLET IS NOT LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, SPECIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF ASSETS OR DATA. YOUR SOLE REMEDY IS TO STOP USING THE SERVICES.

15) Arbitration; Class Action Waiver

You and Stellar Wallet agree to arbitrate any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Services. Arbitration replaces jury trials and class actions. Claims must be brought individually.

Arbitration will be administered by JAMS in San Francisco, California, USA, under its Streamlined Arbitration Rules. The Federal Arbitration Act governs. Courts in San Francisco County have exclusive jurisdiction over permitted court proceedings.

16) Indemnification

You agree to defend and indemnify Stellar Wallet and its affiliates against any claims or damages arising from your use of the Services, your violation of these Terms, or your on-chain activity.

17) Export; Sanctions

The Services may be subject to export controls and sanctions laws. You must comply with all restrictions and not use the Services in prohibited jurisdictions or for prohibited purposes.

18) Governing Law; Venue

These Terms are governed by the laws of California, USA. Subject to arbitration, exclusive venue for court actions is San Francisco, California.

19) Assignment; No Third-Party Beneficiaries

We may assign our rights under these Terms; you may not without written consent. No third-party beneficiary rights are created.

20) Waiver

Failure to enforce any provision does not waive that provision.

21) Severability

If any provision is invalid, the remaining provisions remain in effect.

22) Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any feature-specific terms, form the entire agreement between you and Stellar Wallet.
